Clavister introduces NetShield P40 Pro for high performance network and datacenter protection

Clavister enables cloud datacenter owners and operators of public networks to protect their perimeter cost effectively and with high performance.

Örnsköldsvik, Sweden, February 21, 2019. Clavister, a leader in high-performance cybersecurity solutions, unveils its new NetShield Services-Based Firewall (SBFW) appliances to the market. The NetShield Services-Based Firewall is based on Clavister’s carrier-grade virtualized security software, battle hardened in the demanding global communication service provider network business where some of the biggest telecom operators in the world rely on its innovations to protect hundreds of millions of customers. The company now releases this powerful technology in a pre-packaged appliance, the Clavister NetShield P40 Pro, one that delivers rapid deployment with flexibility due to the modularity of the platform. The platform supports up to 8 x 10 GbE SFP+ plus 9 x GbE interfaces in a 1U package with performance up to 40 Gbps.

The Clavister NetShield P40 Pro is ideal for datacenter owners due to built-in support for BGP Routing, SSL decryption and Intrusion Detection/Prevention System. This allows rapid and seamless deployments with redundant connectivity and strategies that off-loads the datacenter secure-web-farm; improving the security while reducing cost.

Operators of (semi-) public networks—such as campus network or large WiFi deployments—can also reap high benefits using the S40P. With built-in carrier-grade network address translation, IPv4/IPv6 translation and 10 Gig connectivity with high availability the offering is ideal for network perimeter protection. Built in DNS and SIP Application Layer Gateways (ALG) enable additional protection for critical network services. “This is a very important and significant product release in where we want to position our solutions. Datacenters, those using the cloud as a major aspect of their operations and other enterprises will reap the benefits of our solutions and packaged offerings. NetShield is such an exciting product to bring to market and we’re convinced that it will meet with delight and success from our customers,” says Johan Edlund, Chief Marketing & Products Officer at Clavister.
