Next-generation firewall vendor appoints first partner in Japan

Clavister, a leader in high performance, high availability network security, has today announced an agreement with MIRAIT, a leading ICT integrator, to be its first partner in Japan.

Clavister wanted to extend its footprint into Japan as it is recognised as one of the most advanced mobile markets globally.  The partnership agreement will see MIRAIT delivering Clavister’s network security solutions to enterprises, cloud providers, mobile operators and telecoms companies, and providing ongoing technical support and management.

Shigeru Yanagisawa, Director, MIRAIT said: “Clavister’s suite of security solutions for both physical and virtual environments will be a valuable addition to our portfolio. In particular, Clavister’s expertise in LTE and 4G network security will complement our solutions and services which will provide a mutually exciting opportunity for this region.”

Shinobu Färnlöf, Worldwide Channel Manager, Clavister AB said:  “The channel is an incredibly important route to market for Clavister.  In MARAIT we have the right partner to enter the Japanese market. With its knowledge of the local market and expertise in delivering security solutions coupled with our technology, we will establish ourselves as a leading provider of network security solutions to mobile operators and enterprises. ”

Clavister’s solutions range from the E5, an entry level next-generation firewall (NGFW) in a desktop-sized package, to the Virtual Series Gateways that enable the highest levels of throughput, offering six nines (99.9999%) availability for carrier-grade security in the most demanding network environments.  Clavister recently introduced a range of solutions for mobile network operators to secure 4G and LTE networks, enabling mobile network operators to secure their networks against cyberattacks and data interception.

Clavister is a member of Intel’s Network Builders program (networkbuilders.intel.com), a cross-industry initiative that enables telcos to build and manage business-critical infrastructures, with lower capital and operating costs.  In 2013, global industry analyst Frost & Sullivan gave Clavister its ‘Product Quality Leadership Award’ for the performance, design and simplicity of its NGFW solutions.
