Cline and Professor Anna Ström are granted support for a joint doctoral student

Cline Scientific AB (publ) ("Cline" or the "Company") together with Professor Anna Ström at Chalmers University of Technology is given the opportunity for a joint SSF Industrial PhD student.

The “Stiftelsen för Strategisk Forskning” (The Foundation for Strategic Research), SSF, finances research in natural science, technology, and medicine with approximately SEK 700 million a year. The purpose of the Industrial PhD program is to contribute to excellent research within SSF's areas of interest. The research shall promote cross-fertilization between academia and industry and contribute to the education of doctoral students in areas that are strategically relevant and strengthen Sweden's competitiveness.

The collaboration with Professor Anna Ström at Chalmers University of Technology can now be deepened by developing and optimizing the matrix that is a component of the StemCART project with an SSF-funded doctoral student. As we previously communicated, this contributes to ensuring the vitality and function of the cells during the repair of cartilage damage caused by osteoarthritis or trauma. The funding from SSF covers an industrial doctoral student's salary for 3-4 years and thus does not burden Cline's cost base.
