Siobhan Smith newest recipient of CDD’s Elite Young Person’s sponsorship
Cricket Deal Direct (CDD) has sponsored Northants Steel-Ettos batswoman and leg-spinner Siobhan Smith with equipment from their brand new Heather Knight Collection.
Smith, 17, has been supplied with a specially designed bag, pads, gloves and helmet from the HKIII range, created in conjunction with SM and England Vice-captain Heather Knight.
“I’d been looking at scholarships for a few months when my coach recommended SM,” said Smith, “its high quality and the range specially designed for women really appealed to me.”

Now playing in her 11th season, Smith has been playing cricket for upwards of 10 years, with her personal highlight so far being scoring 93 and 91 for county U17 girls cricket.
“I can't wait to start the season a new with new kit. It's such a great opportunity to be offered the Elite Sponsorship and it's a real honour to be one of the first people to use the kit.”
Already in receipt of her kit, Smith will be practising with it over the coming weeks, working towards helping the Steel-Ettos build on the successes of their last season and win league promotion.
“Last season was really strong, we narrowly missed on promotion,” said Smith, “this year I’m hoping that we can get there. Our team is stronger and we definitely deserve to.”

As well as playing as a top scoring batswoman and leg-spinner for the Steel-ettos , Smith also plays for Burton Latimer.
