Three contract retentions and two new contracts for school catering firm

School catering company Cucina Restaurants has won two new secondary school catering contracts and retained three existing contracts, with a combined estimated turnover of around £10m.

The new contracts are at The Bulmershe School, an 11-16 secondary school in Woodley, Reading, with 891 students on roll, and Denbigh School in Milton Keynes, an 11-18 school with 1400 students on roll.

Cucina has also retained contracts at The Hazeley Academy in Milton Keynes, Queens' School in Bushey, Hertfordshire, and Teddington School in Middlesex, with a combined estimated turnover of around £7m.

Chief Executive of Cucina Restaurants Steve Quinn said:

"I'm delighted that we have won these two new contracts and retained three existing contracts. Every single thing we do as a company is centred around the food we provide for our customers, which is why we keep such a close eye on the rate at which we grow. We are now very close to our ceiling of 50 operating contracts and we are now concentrating on new intiatives which will further push the boundaries of what is possible in school food."
