New 'marketplace' brings a buzz to The Bushey Academy
Exciting hub at the heart of Academy's new £30m building
A spectacular new school restaurant area was unveiled at The Bushey Academy recently. Situated right at the centre of the school, and themed 'the marketplace', the area is generating a genuine buzz of excitement among students and staff and acting as a central meeting place for the whole school.
Commenting on the new area, Bushey Academy Principal Andrew Hemmings said:
"The Marketplace is the hub of activity in our incredible new £30m building, and at its heart is the Cucina restaurant selling a great range of healthy and tasty meals every day. It is supplemented by both an Internet Cafe and an external eatery serving the Quad with its seating areas warmed by patio heaters."
Mr Hemmings added:
"Cucina are heavily involved in the day-to-day life of the Academy; they know the students, put them first, and believe that everyone deserves the best. In short, they embody our ethos of being 'proud to belong'."
Cucina Director Sam Davies commented:
"SInce moving to the marketplace area, we've seen a huge upsurge in sales, it's just been phenomenal. Exciting food in an exciting place - it's perfect."
