Patent protecting Temodex and SI053 covering the Eurasian market has been granted

The institution of Physical and Chemical Problems´ (Minsk) patent application, which protects Temodex and SI053 has been granted by the Eurasian Patent Organization (EAPO). The patent approval provides protection for the products on the Eurasia market at least through 2036. The Eurasian patent is a part of a patent family filed in collaboration with Double Bond Pharmaceutical. The international patent application protecting SI053 received a positive Written Opinion during the international phase, and has just entered the national phase in US, EP, Asia, and other countries of interest.

"I am very glad that the first patent from the patent family protecting SI053 has been granted,” - comments Igor Lokot, CEO for Double Bond Pharmaceutical. – “With the patent, we have achieved an important interim goal for the commercialization of our front-line product SI-053 for the treatment of brain tumors.”

More about Temodex: Temodex, which is a locally acting formulation of temozolomide developed by RI PCP in Minsk, Belarus, is registered for marketing as first-line treatment of glioblastoma within Belarus since 2014. Temodex was acquired by DBP in autumn 2015 and is now being prepared to pass through all the tests and trials required for registration within the EU and globally. Information on Double Bond Pharmaceutical International AB
