HRH The Earl of Wessex opens new facilities at RAF Waddington

HRH The Earl of Wessex has officially opened an £18m complex at RAF Waddington , designed to support the RAF’s new Rivet Joint  electronic surveillance aircraft. Specialist engine facilities for Typhoon jets at RAF Lossiemouth

The Defence Infrastructure Organisation, part of the Ministry of Defence, has awarded contracts worth a combined £15m for two new projects at RAF Lossiemouth  to support the station’s Typhoon aircraft. DIO delivers first stages of maintenance facility for new RAF transport aircraft

Work has started on the steelwork stage of a new aircraft hangar at RAF Brize Norton, after the Defence Infrastructure Organisation (DIO) worked with a range of partners to develop the site. Hangars complete at new Defence college

Work has completed on three hangars at the new Defence College for Technical Training at MOD Lyneham in Wiltshire. The  hangars have each been newly built or refurbished by Hercules - a joint venture between Kier Group and Balfour Beatty - for the Defence Infrastructure Organisation (DIO). MOD awards contract to build Typhoon facilities in Moray

The Ministry of Defence (MOD) has awarded a £23million contract to deliver new accommodation and support facilities at RAF Lossiemouth to help enable Typhoon fast jets to operate from the base. The Defence Infrastructure Organisation (DIO) – the MOD’s property and services provider – has awarded the contract to Turner Estate Solutions, its existing Regional Prime Contractor responsible for delivering infrastructure work inScotland. Turner Estate Solutions will undertake the work in around 14 months. This builds on some £17 million of works already in progress at the Moray airbase.

Lighting the way to bright hangars and low bills at RAF Benson

Maintenance staff at a frontline RAF helicopter base are enjoying a better working environment, thanks to new lighting that not only brightens their working day but also saves energy and money.
