Dignitana sponsors Italian short film for Venice Film Festival 2019
DigniCap Scalp Cooling System featured in short film
Dignitana AB, world leader in scalp cooling innovation, has sponsored the Italian short film “Tu come me” (“You like me”, English translation) which premiered at the Venice Film Festival on August 31, 2019 followed by a panel discussion with leading Oncologists. Written by Maria Teresa Carpino in collaboration with Roberto Orazi and produced by Mati Group, it is inspired by a true story of cancer and friendship.
“We are proud to sponsor “Tu come me” as a creative and important short film spreading the word about cancer and the importance of modern cancer care,” says William Cronin, Chief Executive Officer of Dignitana AB. “Unfortunately, cancer touches too many lives. As the leading innovator in scalp cooling technology we know first-hand the importance of knowledge, early diagnoses and treatment. We welcome initiatives that highlight the quest for supportive cancer care and enhance quality of life options.”
“Tu come me” presents the many powerful changes cancer patients face. The aim of the film, and Dignitana’s sponsorship, is to highlight the importance of knowledge and cancer prevention, as well as the need for new treatments to improve patient quality of life. This film tells the story of two medical students who lose touch because of their incompatible lifestyles and personalities. When cancer strikes, their lives quickly change, and they realize their differences no longer matter. Dignitana’s DigniCap Scalp Cooling System is featured in the short film as Giacomo goes through treatment.
The short film has also been selected for screening during the Nineteenth Edition of the Italian Language Week which will be held in New York from October 21-27, 2019.
Dignitana joined Adidas, Banca Intensa, Lidl, ENEL MDS and Novartis in providing support for the making of “Tu come me.”
