Rescroft Ltd and Diversified Communications UK has announced that the Accessibility Zone – ‘Accessible Solutions by Rescroft’ – at Coach & Bus Live 2015 has received further industry support from the Community Transport Association (CTA) and Association of Transport Coordinating Officers (ATCO).

The CTA will be inviting its members to a hosted seminar at Coach & Bus Live, the two-day autumn showcase for the UK’s bus, coach and passenger transport technology sector (taking place on 30 September and 1 October at the NEC Birmingham).  The initiative will give CTA members the opportunity to visit the display of over 30 specialised suppliers in the dedicated Accessibility Zone.

Also supporting the show is ATCO, who will be participating with a seminar and membership focus group.  Hosted lunches for invited members, plus hospitality within the Rescroft and partnering stands, are planned across the two days.  Several dedicated business sessions for ATCO and CTA members will also be staged as part of the seminar programmes.

Mike Phillips, Rescroft business development manager, says: “We are delighted that this initiative is being supported by the Community Transport Association (CTA) and the Association of Transport Co-ordinating Officers (ATCO).  Both organisations will hold special events for their members during the two-day exhibition.  It was a natural progression for us to work with the organisers to develop this content for the show.”

Since opening bookings for the show at the end of 2014, Diversified UK reports that the demand for minibus type stands is extremely strong, with virtually all space now taken.  The addition of the Skills Test, supported by Mercedes Benz, will see a selection of mini vehicles with accessibility features available for use on a small test course at the show.

Chris White, ATCO chair, says: “The NEC show has been a good event for us to get along to.  We always find that we are able to catch up on the latest issues and this year will be no different, especially as there is strong supplier support.  We look forward to raising the profile of ATCO over the two days at Coach & Bus Live yet again.”

Bill Freeman, chief executive of the Community Transport Association (CTA), says: “This is a great opportunity for our members to gather and learn from one another, and to see all the latest products that can help them improve their services.  With so many interesting developments in our members’ sector of the market, we are really pleased to be getting involved.”

Visitors to ‘Accessible Solutions by Rescroft’ will see a diverse range of mini and midi vehicles built by several well-known manufacturers, the latest seating products from Rescroft, and a range of other equipment, all of which are important to this specialist transport sector.

The Accessibility Zone, which will feature around 30 specialised companies, will combine with the main Coach & Bus Live event to bring together all aspects of public transport under one roof over two days at the NEC Birmingham, starting on Wednesday 30 September.

Coach & Bus Live is the major domestic showcase for the bus, coach and passenger transport technology sector, taking place at the NEC on 30 September – 1 October.  For more information, please visit www.coachandbuslive.com.  To pre-register interest in visiting, please visit www.coachandbuslive.com/visit/pre-registration.  Euro Bus Expo returns on 1-3 November 2016.
