New drink products set to make a splash at lunch! 2013

lunch! – the multi-award-winning trade event for the UK’s food-to-go industry, returns to the Business Design Centre in Islington, London, on 26-27 September, with over 290 exhibiting companies.  With the lunch time market now estimated to be worth over £14.9bn and growing, the following is just a taste of some of the exciting new drink products being introduced at this year’s event.

A proper brew is guaranteed on stand M134 where Taylors of Harrogate will be showcasing its out-of-home range: including Yorkshire Tea and, unique in the world of mainstream tea – a Hard Water blend.  Mainstream tea is treated as a one size fits all offering but those in hard water areas will know all too well how it can impact on the quality of your tea.

Leading healthy food innovators Rude Health (stand A407) has launched a unique range of milk alternatives.  The ground-breaking range includes Brown Rice (the first and only brown rice drink on the market), Oat, and Almond.  All deliver a truly outstanding taste experience, made using only the purest and highest quality ingredients.

In addition to a new raw food range, Nosh Detox (stand G7) will be giving lunch! visitors a world preview of the new addition to its Raw Fruity juice range – Orange & Strawberry.  The Raw Fruity range (which are includes Raspberry, Apple & Pear, Passion Fruit, Melon & Mango, and Carrot, Apple & Orange flavours) is made using cold press technology to offer a delicious and refreshingly pure, zingy taste and, most importantly, a much higher nutritional value (two of your five a day).

LITTLE Big Shot – Healthy Energy Drink (stand IZ-8 in the Innovation Zone) isunveiling two new flavours at lunch! 2013.  From October, its award-winning, original mixed berry flavour will be joined by refreshing orange & mango and mouth-watering apple kiwi & lime.  Offering caffeine and taurine-free natural goodness – as well as B vitamins and exclusive Deep Ocean Minerals, which fight fatigue – LBS is the taste of health in a can.

Be Fast…Breakfast on the Go! (stand M531) is a brand new, exciting product showcasing at this year’s lunch!.  With breakfast on the go now a massive trend, Be Fast believes that breakfast drinks are not only more convenient but also healthier than many other alternatives.  Made with skimmed milk, they have over 6g of fibre; as well as other vital vitamins and minerals.  First launched in October 2012, after only six months a new Banana flavour has just been introduced – joining Vanilla, Strawberry and Chocolate!

Pip Organic (stand M242)has announced the launch of its new organic grab and go range in four fruity flavours, with an extended shelf life!  With no added sugar, water, preservatives or concentrates, the range offers great tasting, healthy and organic juice at an affordable price point!

Cafédirect (stand A201b)will be sampling the newest addition to their single origin range from Costa Rica.  Available in both 60g sachets and 227g packs, this ‘Strictly High Grown’ coffee is ideal for foodservice venues that want to stand head and shoulders above the competition.  Plus, if visitors are up for the challenge, Cafédirect have joined forces withDivine Chocolate(stand A201a)to test their taste buds in a coffee and chocolate matching experience.  With machinery options on display, and a whole new POS package available, Cafédirect are fully-equipped to answer all hot beverage questions.

Maynard House Juices (stand IZ-25 in the Innovation Zone), the award-winning Suffolk apple juice producers, will be showcasing their new juice – Maynard House Orange and Clementine.  A smooth blended Valencian citrus juice, it will be available in 200ml bottles to luxury restaurants, hotels, bars and cafés across the UK.

Kandula Tea Company (stand IZ-32 in the Innovation Zone) is launching two new Pure Herbal Infusions to mark its lunch! debut.  Vanilla Chai Rooibos – an indulgent blend of Rooibos with hints of Ceylon spices and soft creamy vanilla notes; and Chamomile Rose – a fragrant blend of rose infused chamomile tea, with whole chamomile flowers, rose petals and lavender buds.  Both infusions are naturally caffeine free.

ZICO Coconut Water (stand A209) launches a new chocolate product and 900ml pack format.  ZICO is now available in chocolate 400ml resealable bottles (RSP £1.79).  Further expansion of the ZICO range is planned with an original and chocolate 900ml pack available from August, moving ZICO from an on-the-go product to also being a fridge staple.

Aartizen (stand U222) will be launching a new range of 100% natural cold press juices.  Supercharged with freshness and vitality, Aartizen juices are made from refreshing fruit and vegetable blends; such as kale, cucumber and apple.  Great for a nutritious boost anytime of the day!

Luscombe Organic Drinks (stand M236) are launching two new products: Luscombe Orange Juice, and Luscombe Carrot and Orange Juice.  Luscombe crafts juices and drinks from genuinely uncompromised real ingredients, with a fanatical attention to small details.  The new drinks extend the range of fourteen award-winning soft drinks and juices produced in small batches by hand in Devon.

New exhibitor Super!Natural (stand IZ-21 in the Innovation Zone)will be launching itsdelicious, 100% natural fruit juice drink at this year’s lunch!.  A naturally uplifting fusion of fruit juices and natural caffeine from green coffee beans, it has no synthetic chemicals, sweeteners, colours or added sugar.  It is a pure and honest source of natural energy.

New exhibitor Vivid Matcha Drinks (stand M414) is pioneering the Matcha green tea movement in a ready-to-drink format.  With a leading and innovative product, natural ingredients, exceptional shelf-standout, a deliciously well balanced range and some heavy marketing plans, Vivid is this year’s most exciting new brand – here to lead the Matcha green tea category.

"We’re unbelievably excited about exhibiting Vivid Matcha Drinks at lunch!, our first trade show, and getting our unique and innovative product in front of key buyers who are looking for brands that have the potential to lead their category and be the next big thing,” says James Shillcock, managing director of Vivid Matcha Drinks.

Pussy Drinks Ltd – the UK’s first 100% natural energy drink – will be exhibiting at lunch! for its third consecutive year (stand M544).  As they continue their growth within the category, they’ll be promoting the launch of a new £1 price marked can.  More than just a name, Pussy contains no taurine or artificial caffeine.

JUNA (UK) Ltd (stand A417) and its super-exotic fruit drink range continue their conquest of the UK, now focusing on serving smaller outlets – including coffee and sandwich shops, restaurants, hotels, and gyms.  Following its listing at prestigious food halls, high-end retailers and caterers, JUNA’s new distribution solutions now allow for nationwide delivery of small volumes.

Bottlegreen Drinks Co (stand U112) will be sampling their new flavoured tonic waters – Elderflower, and Pomegranate & Elderflower (both available in 175ml) at this year’s show.  In addition to their core range of pressés and cordials on stand U112, visitors can also see their Miniature Cordial shelf ready units in action.

Soft drink expert Cawston Press (stand M132) has had a busy 2013.  There’s been the continued roll out of its sparkling 330ml drinks, plus, most recently, the transformation of its RTD juice cartons to a more robust/portable ‘DreamCap’ format.  All Cawston drinks are completely natural and never use concentrate – just pressed juice.

Radnor Hills (stand U116) launches Heartsease Farm super premium pressés.  A range of drinks made using the best ingredients available from the countryside, and blended with its own spring water to traditional British recipes.  Flavours include Elderflower Pressé; Blackcurrant Crush; Traditional Lemonade; and St Clements.  Uniquely packed in both glass and PET bottles to suit all markets.

Grace Foods (stand U216) will be showcasing two exciting drink brands at this year’s lunch!: Grace Aloe Vera drinks – a premium range of refreshing beverages in natural, strawberry and mango flavours, and FOCO – 100% Coconut Water, which is available with a splash of mango, pineapple, lychee, pomegranate, or pink guava.

Mrs Doyle’s makes tea in London.  Mrs Doyle’s Tea is most definitely the best on the Island!  And now it’s being launched proper at this year’s lunch!.  Mrs Doyle has come up with several new fun tea blends (such as Happy tea and Hangover tea) and gluten free cookies, so come along to stand IZ-34 in the Innovation Zone and meet Herself and the Lovely Girls.
