Next week’s SITS – The Service Desk & IT Support Show at London’s Earls Court will feature a host of new Keynote and seminar speakers for 2013.  Taking place on Tuesday and Wednesday, 23-24 April, visitors to SITS13 will enjoy an increased opportunity to expand their specialist knowledge base, with representatives from Gartner, IBM, John Lewis Partnership, London Borough of Lambeth, Tata Consultancy Services, and the University of Oxford, all confirmed to make their show debut.

Firmly established as the go-to industry event for CIOs, service desk and help desk managers, IT directors, and senior IT decision-makers from across all business sectors, SITS has garnered an enviable reputation for providing real solutions for ITSM professionals looking to improve the way that they work and do business.  One of the show’s key draws is its comprehensive free education programme that combines eight Keynotes, over 40 seminars (in three dedicated theatres), in-depth roundtable discussions, and essential breakfast briefings to provide a broad spectrum of perspectives across a host of hot topics.

  • Ivor Macfarlane, service management specialist at IBM, whose authoring credits include ITIL versions 1, 2 and 3.
  • Simon Skelton, IT service improvement manager at John Lewis Partnership, who’ll be discussing ‘ITSM – the John Lewis way’.
  • Rob Miller, assistant director business systems, who’ll be outlining how the London Borough of Lambeth mastered self service to help solve the BYOD challenge.
  • Andrea Kis from Tata Consultancy Services, an ITIL, Prince2 and Green IT qualified IT service management and integration consultant, who’ll be demonstrating why the service desk must build business relationships if it wants to prosper.
  • Jeffrey Thomas, director, administrative IT systems at University of Oxford, who’ll be presenting a case study on how the institution implemented its ITSM strategy and toolset to deliver mature service.
