Organisers announce new home for SITS15

Following the substantial coverage in the media regarding The Earls Court Opportunity Area, the future of Earls Court as an exhibition venue from 2015 onwards remains uncertain.  As a result, Diversified Communications UK has announced today that this year’s SITS14 will be the last time the event takes place in its current location, Earls Court.

From 2015, SITS – The Service Desk & IT Support Show – will move from Earls Court to an equally iconic new home at its sister ECO venue Olympia’s National Hall, where it will continue to run alongside Infosecurity Europe, which will also make the move from Earls Court into Grand Hall Olympia.

A consequence of having to consolidate Earls Court and Olympia events into one venue, means that SITS will move to slightly later dates, with show opening days on Tuesday 2nd and Wednesday 3rd June 2015.  As a result, the Service Desk Institute has kindly agreed to move their annual SDI Conference, which is normally held in June, to spring 2015.

Commenting on the move, Carsten Holm, managing director of Diversified UK, says: “Following so much speculation, we are delighted to be able to confirm that SITS has a new home and would like to take the opportunity to thank our exhibitors and the Service Desk Institute for being so understanding and supportive whilst discussions have been taking place.  It’s a great result.  We are also delighted that Infosecurity will move with us and we are looking forward to working together to continue to provide a great event and experience for all our stakeholders in 2015 and beyond.”

Joy-Fleur Brettschneider, group marketing manager at Reed Exhibitions, was equally pleased with the solution: “Infosecurity and The Service Desk & IT Support Show have co-located for the past 12 years and the joint access and the ability to cross-over between both shows is clearly a benefit to many visitors at both shows.”

SITS – The Service Desk & IT Support Show 2014 will take place at the Brompton Hall, Earls Court, London, on 29-30 April 2014.  For further information, and to register free in advance, please visit www.servicedeskshow.com and quote priority code PR14 (http://www.eventdata.co.uk/Visitor/SITS.aspx?TrackingCode=PR14).  Attendees also benefit from free access to Infosecurity Europe 2014, Europe’s No.1 information security event, co-located at Earls Court.
