SITS – the UK’s leading IT service management show unveils new name for 2015

Diversified Communications UK has revealed new branding for its SITS – The Service Desk & IT Support Show, which from today will be moving forward as SITS – The IT Service Management Show.  The announcement comes just over three months out from its first edition at its new venue of Olympia’s National Hall, in London, on 3-4 June.

This subtle yet significant change to the show’s name reflects the evolving nature of the vibrant sector that it serves.  As the UK’s leading exhibition and conference for ITSM professionals, SITS has enjoyed continued industry prominence and support throughout its 21-year history.  From its early beginnings as The Helpdesk User Group (HUG) Exhibition[1] to its latest incarnation as SITS – The IT Service Management Show, the event has grown and adapted to meet the ever changing needs of IT service teams.  Today, as ever, it remains a vital business forum for sharing ideas and innovations within the ITSM community.

Just as the re-active helpdesk was superseded by the pro-active service desk, so service desk management has now been brought to fore.  With over 22 million people (around 77% of the UK’s total workforce) using IT in their jobs[2], ITSM transcends almost every area of a business and both supports and enables long-term company growth.

“It’s an exciting change for the show and a modern reflection of how the IT services industry is developing,” explains event manager Toby Moore.

“IT is both an exciting and challenging space to be working in right now.  There are new technologies appearing each day, new expectations around value to the business, and new generations of workers entering the office space.  This year’s event will bring a renewed focus on understanding the true value of front-line service desk staff and the leadership values of ITSM, as this has fast become the greatest asset for successful IT service teams today,” says Moore.

Vibrant, engaging, thought-provoking, crucial and excellent – was the verdict from last year’s visitors (3,663 in all).  The event is the highlight of the year for thousands of ITSM professionals looking to source the latest top end technologies on the market, refresh their management skills, and better understand how to meet growing expectations from both end users and business leaders.

Looking ahead to June, much of the 2015 line-up is already in place.  The full conference programme (including over 40 seminars in three dedicated theatres) will be available to view and pre-book in just a few days’ time.  Whilst the online exhibitor list – published today – reads like a who’s who of the industry.

Dell Software, ZenDesk. Knowledge Secure Systems, Accenture, Infravision, Enterprise Opinions, ServiceFlow, Connect Wise, and MIR3 are just a few of the new additions for 2015.  They join a host of big name returning exhibitors, including ServiceNow, Hornbill Service Management, TOPdesk, Cherwell Software, ManageEngine, Sunrise Software, Marval, HP, Alemba, Bomgar, Freshdesk, and Frontrange Solutions.

“The move to Olympia has generated a lot of interest and enthusiasm and is proving to be a very positive re-location for the show.  Not only will the show boast a fresh new look but it’s already on track to be one of our biggest events yet,” adds Moore.

The new branding will feature on all marketing collateral for both exhibitor and visitor campaigns, as well as the event’s newly redesigned website – www.ITSMShow.com.  The show’s official twitter feed has also been updated to @SITS_UK.
