Thousands of CIOs, IT directors, service desk and help desk managers, and senior IT decision-makers from businesses across the UK are preparing to attend this year’s SITS – The Service Desk & IT Support Show, which opens tomorrow, Tuesday 23 April, at London’s Earls Court.  The two day event is poised to connect over 4,000 industry visitors with over 100 leading specialist vendors, integrators, consultancies and service providers.

With emerging new technologies over the past few years having transformed the way that IT services are delivered within the workplace, the two day SITS event offers its attendees a vital opportunity to source the latest tools, technology and insights that they need to improve their IT provisions and enable their organisations to work more effectively.

“It doesn’t matter how long you’ve been in the industry – you’ll never know everything.  The show is a great forum to pick up hints and tips on how to continue improving the services our customers expect,” says Nina Pink, IT service manager at Dairy Crest, just one of thousands of visitors looking forward to experiencing SITS13 this week.

Returning exhibitors for 2013 include xMatters; Sysop; ICCM Solutions; Autotask; OMNINET GmbH; ManageEngine; APMG; Serena Software; IT Training Zone; The Grey Matters; LogMeIn; TOPDesk; CentraStage; TechExcel; and Vivantio, who’ll be expanding its service desk product range to include Metricus – an enterprise-level IT performance management solution.

They’ll be joined by a host of new faces across the show floor, including Gartner; Netop from Denmark; UK Oracle User Group; Realmsoft; SysAid; and Freshdesk, who’ll be launching Freshservice – the SaaS based ITIL Service Desk software, as an invite-only beta at SITS13.

Whilst new products and software applications remained a practical draw for many visitors to the show, the exceptional, comprehensive, free education programme – combining six Keynotes (featuring Gartner), over 40 seminars and case studies (in three dedicated theatres), in-depth roundtable discussions, and essential breakfast briefings – provides a broad spectrum of perspectives on the key issues and challenges affecting today’s ITSM and IT support community.

Notable highlights including debut sessions from Gartner and IBM; the launch of a new white paper from the SDI and Cherwell Software; plus expert new content from returning speakers, such as Noel Bruton, Barclay Rae and Rosh Hosany.  The full programme, including session details and timings, is available online at http://www.servicedeskshow.com/education.

Free seminar tickets will be available on the day from the Seminar Registration Desk at the show.  All Keynotes and seminars are available to pre-book (for £6 per session) before 4.30pm on Monday 22 April.

The Service Desk & IT Support Show at Brompton Hall, Earls Court, London, is open from 9.30am to 5pm on Tuesday 23 April and Wednesday 24 April.
