Building a more focused Dometic
Dometic is implementing a new organizational structure to generate additional focus and performance. The aim is to continue to develop and strengthen existing and well-positioned business areas, whilst at the same time establishing a more focused environment allowing the new growth areas to get necessary management attention and fully dedicated resources to thrive into sizable businesses.
The new structure will be formed around four Sectors, compared to three regions today: Americas Sector, EMEA Sector, APAC Sector and Global Sector. The Sectors will be the highest responsible operational entities reporting to the Group.
New organizational structure
The following divisions will be included in the new Sector organization:
- Americas Sector: Recreational vehicles (RV), Commercial and passenger vehicles (CPV) and Outdoor
- EMEA Sector: Recreational vehicles (RV), Commercial and passenger vehicles (CPV) and Outdoor
- APAC Sector: Recreational vehicles (RV), Commercial and passenger vehicles (CPV) and Outdoor
- Global Sector: Marine and Other Verticals
Rationale
- Regional Sectors: Regional management attention is essential to fully capture the potential in the RV, CPV and Outdoor markets, accelerate aftermarket growth, drive M&A activities and reduce complexity in legacy structures.
- Global sector: Dometic has identified a number of business areas with strong potential for growth. The Global Sector will have two sub-sectors, Marine, and Other Verticals, which will include Residential, Hospitality and Mobile deliveries. These areas all share the characteristics of relevant global market size, growing trends and many opportunities for acquisitive growth.
The new organizational structure will be effective as from April 1, 2020 and will be reflected in Dometic’s report for the second quarter of 2020.
“The organizational change is a natural step in line with our strategy to broaden Dometic’s addressable market and increase focus through commercial specialization. The new organizational structure will allow us to have a stronger emphasis on existing and new strategic business areas as well as to further increase efficiencies. This is an important step to make Dometic even more relevant to our customers, capture the many growth opportunities and take the company to the next level”.
