Dometic appoints new President for Asia Pacific
Dometic today announces that the Company has appointed Chialing Hsueh as new President of Dometic Asia Pacific with effect from March 1, 2016. Ms Hsueh succeeds Tat Li who, after 20 years with the Company, has decided to retire at the age of 65. Mr Li and Ms Hsueh will work in parallel during a transition period.
Chialing Hsueh joins Dometic from Armstrong World Industries, Inc., a leader in designing and manufacturing of floors and ceiling systems, where she has held the position as Managing Director, Flooring Products Asia Pacific since the beginning of 2011. Ms Hsueh has a broad business background in sales and marketing as well as consulting and finance. Prior to joining Armstrong, Ms Hsueh worked for various multi-national companies including Philips Electronics and Electrolux in China.
“We are delighted to have attracted a person of Ms Hsueh’s calibre, reputation and experience to Dometic. With her strong retail background, proven leadership capabilities and extensive knowledge of the Asia Pacific region, Ms Hsueh is a very suitable leader to drive our growth agenda in the region”, says Roger Johansson, President and CEO of Dometic Group.
Mr Tat Li, who was one of the owners of Waeco that was acquired by Dometic 2007, has made the decision to retire and step down from the company. Under Tat Li’s leadership, Dometic has established a presence in all key Asia Pacific markets and significantly advanced its positions across product categories. Furthermore, Mr Li has built a competitive manufacturing base in the region that plays a vital role in Dometic’s business. Lastly, Mr Li has built a strong team across Asia Pacific, putting great emphasis on cultivating young talents, empowering them to develop their leadership skills and reach their full potential.
“Tat Li has been a very strong leader and his decision to retire will bring to a close a remarkable career and many years of loyal service to the Company. On behalf of the Board and the full Management team, I am very grateful for his innumerable contributions to Dometic and his distinguished tenure as President of Dometic Asia Pacific”, says Roger Johansson.
“It has been a privilege to lead Dometic’s operations in Asia Pacific and to work with such a talented group of people. The decision to retire has not been easy to make, but after two decades with the company, and seven years as President of APAC, it is time to move on and transfer the helm to a new generation of leadership. I have every confidence that Ms Hsueh is an excellent choice as my successor and I look forward to working together with her during the transition period”, says Tat Li, President of Dometic Asia Pacific.
