DreamHack and AT&T announce new U.S. agreement
STOCKHOLM — DreamHack, the premier gaming and digital lifestyle festival today announced its agreement with American telecom company AT&T, who will take on a key role in DreamHack’s U.S. events, including the recent CORSAIR DreamHack Masters Dallas in June and the upcoming DreamHack Atlanta in November.
The new relationship began in May 2019 with AT&T being a main partner for CORSAIR DreamHack Masters Dallas — DreamHack’s premier Counter-Strike: Global Offensive tournament, which featured 16 of the top teams in the world. The Masters champion in Dallas was the North American squad of Team Liquid.
AT&T will be a key part of DreamHack Atlanta, which will take place November 15-17 at the Georgia World Congress Center in Atlanta, GA. As a festival sponsor, AT&T will play an important role supporting all aspects of the weekend as DreamHack returns to Atlanta for the third consecutive year.
“AT&T is a global leader in telecommunications that is part of more than 100 million customers’ lives in the United States. To have them be a part of DreamHack’s growth is an opportunity we are tremendously proud of,” said DreamHack Co-CEO Marcus Lindmark. “Everyone is looking forward to this new collaboration — there is so much happening in the esports and digital entertainment industry, and we look forward to growing in this space with AT&T at our side.”
In addition to being a festival supporter, AT&T will also be a head sponsor of all DreamHack esports tournaments at DreamHack Atlanta, including the DreamHack Open and DreamHack Fighting Game Championships. They will also give festival goers access to upgraded experiences throughout the weekend through various competitions and giveaways. On-site at the Georgia World Congress Center, AT&T will have their own booth in the expo and offer AT&T customers access to the “Best seats in the house”.
“We are thrilled to be part of these DreamHack events and can’t wait to give our customers special access to DreamHack Atlanta,” said Shiz Suzuki, assistant vice president of Sponsorships & Experiential Marketing, AT&T Communications. “We’re all about opportunities like this to bring fans closer to the sports they love, and we see this premier gaming lifestyle festival as an ideal way to be part of the community while educating fans about our wireless and AT&T Fiber-powered high-speed internet services that can help them perform at their best.”
