STOCKHOLM – DreamHack and The Harbor arranged an open idea generation competition during DreamHack Winter 2018. In partnership with IdeaScale, the leading innovation management software platform for enterprise, government, and education, DreamHack hosted an open competition where the best idea submission wins an exclusive VIP-trip to DreamHack Dallas in June next year.

The competition, that officially launched on Thursday, November 29 and will be open until December 12. Anyone can enter the competition, and it’s simple to register an account and submit your best idea.

As we continue to innovate the DreamHack experience we’re constantly looking for new ideas, and through The Harbor we found this structured way of receiving a lot more good ideas from our community, visitors and viewers – and use that to define where we should go next,” said Tomas Lyckedal, Chief Strategy Officer, at DreamHack.

We are excited to partner with DreamHack in their mission to continue delivering the best experience for gamers around the world. DreamHack and their community are unique, built on a solid foundation of core values such as participation, community and experience. Thus, we are very happy to be part of their next step in strengthening their relationship with community and friends,” said Patrik Olderius, CEO of The Harbor.

During this first edition, the DreamHack community will tackle one challenge. As both parties are looking to continue this for future Dreamhack festivals, more and more challenges will be announced in the coming year.
