DreamHack Winter to host European Smash Ball Team Cup Nordic Finals
Teams from Denmark, Finland, Norway, and Sweden to battle out for a spot in the European finals
STOCKHOLM – DreamHack, the premier gaming lifestyle festival, in partnership with Nintendo has announced that the 2019 edition of DreamHack Winter, November 29 - December 1, will host the Nordic finals of the European Smash Ball Team Cup.
European Smash Ball Team Cup is Nintendo’s way to gather the top Super Smash Bros. Ultimate in Europe in order to crown the very best.
All Nintendo Switch players interested in participating can form a team of three players to participate in their regional qualifiers. Qualifiers will be held in countries across Europe with the following tournaments being the ones that players residing in the Nordics should aim for:
Finland, November 3
In partnership with Smash Finland at Install 2019, Helsinki

The qualifiers will be played using a “best of five” format where every win awards a point. The first team to hit three points wins the game. The game formats to be used are 2v2 Smash, Smashdown, and 3v3 Squad Strike.
The best teams from the qualifiers in Denmark, Finland, Norway, and Sweden will battle it out in the Nordic finals at DreamHack Winter, Sunday, December 1. The winners of these finals won’t just win the honor of being the best team in the Nordics, they will also be granted a spot in the European finals.
