Eleda appoints a new President and CEO

The Eleda Board of Directors appoints Ellinor Thiel President and CEO, effective January 1, 2025. At the same time, former CEO Johan Halvardsson will become Eleda Chairman of the Board.

Ellinor has experience in developing high-performing companies and shares Eleda's values. I believe in building a good team where different skills and experiences complement each other and are used to support our mission. Eleda is in a new phase, and we need new leadership and the fact that I am stepping down reflects the change that we as a group are undergoing. As founder and co-owner of Eleda, I look forward to working with Ellinor and continuing to contribute to both business and acquisitions as Chairman of the Board," says Johan Halvardsson.

About Ellinor Thiel

Ellinor Thiel comes most recently from Bain Capital, a leading global private investment firm, where she is Operating Partner. In this role, she worked closely with Eleda and Eleda's Group Management during 2024. Ellinor joined Bain Capital in 2013. During her tenure at the firm, she played a direct role in building and developing many of Bain Capital's portfolio companies, including Bravida, Nets, Ahlstrom, and MKM Building Supplies, among many others. Prior to joining Bain Capital, Ellinor worked with investments and business development at Axel Johnson AB. Preceding that, she was a strategy consultant at Bain & Company. Ellinor holds a Master of Science degree in Business and Economics from the Stockholm School of Economics. She lives in Stockholm with her husband and three daughters.
