Eleda wants to grow in the railway sector, where we see significant growth opportunities in the coming years. We value being involved in maintaining and developing the railway, as it is an important part of a functioning and sustainable society. In Norway, we have extensive experience of railway maintenance, and we are now taking further steps to build up that expertise in Sweden as well,
With Marbit, we strengthen our position as a leading player in the civil engineering market in Stockholm. We are already in that segment, and I look forward to further developing our offering with Marbit, a high-performing company in a competitive market. All three companies we are now acquiring fit well into our entrepreneurial culture. Based on our decentralised Eleda model, we will create both growth and collaborations.
We have chosen Ellinor because we believe she is the right person and best suited to drive Eleda's continued journey. Ellinor has experience in developing high-performing companies and shares Eleda's values. I believe in building a good team where different skills and experiences complement each other and are used to support our mission. Eleda is in a new phase, and we need new leadership and the fact that I am stepping down reflects the change that we as a group are undergoing. As founder and co-owner of Eleda, I look forward to working with Ellinor and continuing to contribute to both business and acquisitions as Chairman of the Board.
It is an honour and an exciting challenge to lead this great company to the next level of growth and expansion, building upon an extremely strong foundation and trust of the Eleda Group companies. I have been deeply impressed with the team at Eleda and the driven, talented people I have met across the Group during the year. It has been evident that Eleda manages to attract the best in the industry through its decentralized model and entrepreneurial spirit. I look forward to, together with all leaders and employees in the Group, continuing this upward journey where we are the leading infrastructure company in the Nordic region and driving the transition to a more sustainable society. Having Johan as an active Chairman of the Board is a great asset; his exceptional experience and expertise will allow us to seamlessly transition and hit the ground running”.
Sartor & Drange is a strategically important acquisition for Eleda. We now have three platform companies in the Norwegian market, which is proof that we can and want to continue to expand in Norway with the aim of consolidating our position as a leading player in civil engineering in the Nordic region. I am particularly pleased that Sartor & Drange complements our existing companies and fits our culture well. It is a typical Eleda company with driven entrepreneurs, high profitability, good growth, and a committed organization with deep local roots. I look forward to seeing what we can achieve together in the Norwegian and Swedish markets to continue to build sustainable infrastructure.
