Eltel commits to the Science Based Targets initiative

Eltel is taking the next step in its climate work by committing to the Science Based Targets initiative with the aim of increasing the level of ambition to tackle the global climate crisis.

The Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi) is a collaboration between CDP, the UN Global Compact (UNGC), the World Resources Institute (WRI) and the World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF). The worldwide initiative helps companies to put science-based climate goals in line with the Paris Agreement.

– Committing to the SBTi shows that we are serious, that our goals are concrete and measurable, and that we see sustainability as business-critical for us. I am convinced that third-party verified goals in line with the Paris Agreement will soon become a clear customer requirement, while it at the same time is building internal pride, says Casimir Lindholm, President and CEO of Eltel.

The work to decide targets and define a roadmap has begun.
