Eltel’s Power business in Denmark has been awarded a fixed price assignment and a framework agreement with the City of Copenhagen to replace existing lights with energy efficient LED lighting. The total value of the contracts is approximately DKK 360 million. The first part of the contract must be completed in 2018 and the framework agreement is valid for four years. The aim of the investment is to reduce the consumption of energy in line with the city’s climate plan 2025.

The contracts cover replacing existing lighting with energy efficient LED lighting. The features also contain daylight control and motion detectors. Eltel’s services will include dismantling of existing lighting as well as delivery and installation of the new LED lighting.

Altogether an area of 1.5 million m² will be covered by the new lighting, mostly in indoor properties. The properties, used by seven different city administrations, are generally located in the City of Copenhagen. The fixed price agreement will be completed in 2018, while the framework contract covers replacing of the current lighting fixtures during the next four years.

Eltel in Denmark has several years of experience in delivering services and solutions for public and infrastructure lighting. The advantages Eltel offers are technical solutions and mass roll-outs based on know-how and operational excellence.
