(LOS ANGELES, CA, Nov. 9, 2011) -- Employers Group (www.employersgroup.com), a 115 year old human resources consultancy, has released the results of the 2011 National Healthcare Industry Executive Benefits Survey.

Employers Group solicited feedback from healthcare organizations across the country to provide a snapshot of the current state of executive benefits in the healthcare industry.

“The healthcare industry is one of the most dynamic in the country, even through the recession. It represents 6,500 hospitals and $700 billion in annual revenue. With an aging patient and physician population, new healthcare legislation, retiring baby boomers, and an influx of Generation Y into the marketplace the key organizational areas of attracting, retaining, rewarding, and motivating physicians and key executives have never been more critical,” said Trevor K. Lattin, Senior Vice President of Employers Group. “Our study can serve as a benchmark for leading healthcare organizations as they plan their human capital strategies for the coming year.”

Of note, no participants have a mandatory retirement age policy, 22 percent offered a profit sharing plan and benefits offered are generally 2-3 times the employee’s salary.

“Our detailed analysis shows that healthcare organizations are actively looking at strategies to differentiate their executive benefits offerings from the competitive forces in the workplace, now and into 2012,” Mr. Lattin concluded.
