New CTO at Encare with focus on product development and geographical growth
The health tech company Encare has appointed the IT expert Niklas Wallin as the new CTO. Niklas Wallin has extensive experience in the tech industry and looks forward to making Encare an even more modern company that effectively meets its customers' needs, by using technology, innovation and apt proficiencies.
Encare offers an interactive SaaS solution that supports healthcare providers in improving recovery for patients after surgical procedures. The innovative solution empowers healthcare providers to adhere to international treatment guidelines throughout the entire patient care continuum — from initial diagnosis and preparation to surgery and rehabilitation, contributing to significant cost savings in the global healthcare sector.
Niklas Wallin assumed his role as CTO at Encare during the spring of 2023 with the task of building and leading a strong development team, as well as enabling additional functionality and continuously enhancing the quality of Encare's software solution. Niklas Wallin is an experienced tech lead with a civil engineering degree from the Royal Institute of Technology. During his career, he has worked as a system developer, system architect, project manager, development manager and engineering manager in industries such as defense and telecom. Niklas has previously worked at, among others, Saab, Cirrato Technologies, Levi, Ray & Shoup and CurbFood.

Why have you taken the role of CTO at Encare, and what will you contribute?

With my strategic view of technology, as well as solid experience, I, together with skilled colleagues, will make Encare a modern development company.”
What strategic initiatives do you have on your agenda for the coming years?
"I will focus on initiatives that shape a flexible organization through technical development and innovation. The goal is to strengthen our support for the product organization, not only through product content but also through smart ways of working.”
What is on the agenda for this fall?
"In order to strengthen the company's technical capacity and position us for growth, our plan is to increase the number of employees with technical experience. We will be careful in choosing the right skills and take advantage of existing technical tools to free up resources and use them in the most efficient way.”
