Hafnarfjörður, Iceland, July 16, 2024 – Inspired by the movie "Intouchables" and a desire to bring joy to his son with a degenerative disease, Ástvaldur founded Sleipnir Tours. The company has become a beacon of innovation, creating unique glacier trucks that make Iceland’s stunning landscapes accessible to all, especially those with reduced mobility.

The story of Sleipnir Tours began when Ástvaldur watched "Intouchables" with his son and was moved to create a life of adventure for him. This led to the development of the first Sleipnir truck in 2017, capable of cruising at high speeds, floating on snow, and handling Iceland's challenging weather conditions. The second truck followed in 2020, and now, with a third monster truck soon to be ready, Sleipnir Tours continues to expand its offerings.
