Stockholm, Sweden – Epidemic Sound, the market-leading music licensing platform for content creators, has been recognized as one of the fastest-growing companies in Europe in the FT1000 ranking published by the Financial Times.

The seventh annual FT1000 list, created together with data provider Statista, ranked companies based on their revenue growth in the three years to 2021. Epidemic Sound recorded an absolute growth rate of nearly 250% in the period, hitting SEK 808 million in revenue in 2021 alone, to be listed as the second fastest-growing Swedish IT & Software company.

On top of revenue growth, the annual ranking also tracks the increase in employee numbers, where Epidemic Sound saw its in-house team grow by close to 60% in the three years to 2021.

“We are delighted to be recognized by the Financial Times as one of the fastest-growing companies in Europe,” commented Oscar Höglund, CEO & Co-Founder at Epidemic Sound. “This wouldn't have been possible without our amazing employees, artists, content creators, partners, and backers. We look forward to another year of technological advancements to help artists and content creators thrive, and to making our platform available in more countries.”

Epidemic Sound’s inclusion on the list, which can be read in full here, marks continued growth for the Swedish Unicorn and follows the company’s recent certification as a Great Place to Work, where it ranked highly across factors such as credibility, respect, fairness, pride, and camaraderie.
