Stockholm, Sweden – On June 2, 2024, the British YouTube group The Sidemen launched their own reality show on Youtube, “Inside”. The show became an instant success and has accumulated over 40 million views to date.

Katori Walker’s song “Himothy” is featured throughout the seven episodes of "Inside", which has proven to be an immediate hit with fans. Viewers have actively sought out the track with an over 100% increase in Shazams, and Apple adding it at number 8 of their Shazam Discovery Top 50 playlist. The track has also seen a 1600% week-on-week increase in streams across music streaming platforms, where more than 50% of the new listeners have actively searched for the song and added it to their own playlist.

Seeing Katori Walker’s track take off on YouTube and music streaming platforms has been mind-blowing," says Jordan Schwarzenberger, co-founder of Arcade Media and manager of The Sidemen. "Being able to soundtrack our content with music by brilliant artists like Katori Walker is key in keeping our audience engaged, and to be able to give back to emerging artists by empowering them to go viral and be discovered at scale by new listeners across the globe is a true privilege.”

Aside from streams of “Himothy” skyrocketing, the viral moment has also lifted Katori’s whole catalog. He is now gaining thousands of new listeners daily and streams of his other tracks have increased by over 20% week-on-week since the premiere episode. Katori's song RNA, released in October 2022, has now surpassed 10 million streams on Spotify.

Working with Epidemic Sound has been fun and exciting. It’s taught me a lot about myself and has pushed me to move out of my own way,” comments Katori Walker on the success and partnership with Epidemic Sound. “They expose my music to people and audiences I’ve never reached before and helped me feed my family in a blissful way.”
