Skogsaktiebolaget Eternali AB ("Eternali" or "the Company") will be part of the green transition and joins the UN Global Compact. By joining, Eternali commits to the Ten Principles of human rights and labour rights, safeguarding the environment, and working against corruption. Eternali has also identified which of the UN's 17 sustainability goals the Company can contribute most to.

- We shall be a company to trust, both as a partner, supplier, and employer. I am proud and excited that we have been accepted to the UN Global Compact and look forward to the work ahead of us. Sustainability must be integrated into everything we do, says Andreas Forssell, CEO of Eternali.

Eternali has high sustainability ambitions and will be part of the green transition. In the work of developing focus and strategy, extensive work has been carried out. In 2023, the Company will set short-term and long-term goals for its sustainability work and has, through stakeholder dialogue and analysis, worked out three focus areas in which the Company can contribute most to the transition.

These areas are Climate and Biodiversity, Human Rights and Ethics, Governance and Compliance. Eternali has also identified which of the UN's 17 sustainability goals the Company can contribute the most to. These are goal 5 Gender equality, goal 6 Clean water and sanitation, goal 8 Decent work and economic growth, goal 12 Responsible production and consumption, goal 13 Climate action, goal 15 Life on land. To these, several sub-goals have also been identified.

- Getting into a start-up phase at Eternali offers a wealth of opportunities. Not least to build ESG factors into the business from the beginning. Instead of transforming existing business models, we build in sustainability from scratch. The fact that we apply to the UN Global Compact at such an early stage gives us a solid framework and sends a clear message regarding what and who Eternali wants to be, says Pernilla Enkler, CSO at Eternali.

As a participant in the UN Global Compact, Eternali pledges to submit a written report (Communication on Progress) to the Global Compact every year, in which Eternali describes what measures have been taken and what progress has been made. The Company was accepted as a participant 25th of October 2022.
