Etteplan press release January 11, 2021 at 10.30 a.m. EET

Etteplan today announced the successful completion of the first implementation of its new cloud-based solution for efficient creation, secure hosting and on-demand multi-channel distribution of technical information. This major milestone confirms that the new solution is on track for commercial launch by the end of Q1, 2021.

The customer, an international advanced kitchen manufacturer located in the Netherlands, produces and ships 2,500 kitchens a week primarily to professional customers. To support automated production, technical information must meet stringent time-to-market criteria.

The first task for Etteplan’s new cloud-based solution was the creation of user-centric digital installation instructions for a new kitchen line, consisting of both graphic and text-based instructions, and now served as an on-demand online resource. Always available and searchable digital instructions increase the productivity of installation technicians, contributing to faster installation processes and increased customer satisfaction.

“With our strong track record and 650 staff in technical information globally, we have invested heavily in building an efficient, digital and high-quality creation, translation and distribution process for technical information. Despite of the challenges in the market, we have been able to continue developing new solutions and investing in new technology,” said Mikael Vatn, SVP Technical Documentation Solutions at Etteplan.

“The new solution will package our existing expertise with state-of-the art capabilities for intelligent content creation, hosting and distribution. As a result, we will be able to help our customers bring their products and services to the market faster, while increasing the quality and productivity of installation and maintenance operations,” Vatn continued.

Etteplan aims to significantly increase the efficiency in creation and delivery of technical information across geographies. Vendors of complex products and solutions with multiple variations and fast development cycles will gain savings in time and costs while ensuring regulatory compliance and improved end-customer experience. Organizations handling installation, operation and maintenance will increase their productivity with instructions available on demand and with a range of devices.
