Etteplan Oyj cancels the Extraordinary General Meeting scheduled to be held on October 19, 2022
The Board of Directors of Etteplan Oyj has decided to cancel the Extraordinary General Meeting of Etteplan Oyj scheduled to be held on October 19, 2022. The invitation to the Extraordinary General Meeting was published as a stock exchange release on August 23, 2022.
Etteplan Oyj announced on August 23, 2022 its plans for a rights offering to raise funds to repay a part of the funding of the recommended public cash offer made to the shareholders of Semcon AB, and the Extraordinary General Meeting was convened to decide on the required authorization for the rights offering.
Etteplan Oyj announced on October 7, 2022 that following the end of the acceptance period of its offer on October 6, 2022, Etteplan Oyj’s offer has not been accepted to such extent that Etteplan Oyj would become the owner of more than 90 percent of the total number of outstanding shares in Semcon AB, and therefore the conditions for the completion of the offer are not fulfilled. Thus, the Board of Directors of Etteplan Oyj has resolved to stop the planning of the rights offering and cancels the Extraordinary General Meeting.
