-  Etteplan will supply the manual and spare parts documentation for Glaston’s machines that are manufactured in Finland and China.

Etteplan Oyj that provides industrial equipment engineering, embedded systems and IoT services and technical documentation solutions, and Glaston, a glass processing technology  company have agreed on the outsourcing of technical documentation for Glaston’s glass-processing lines to Etteplan as of November 1st, 2016. The agreement concerns technical documentation for Glaston’s machines that are manufactured in Tampere, Finland, and Tianjin, China.

The service offered by Etteplan covers writing, illustrating and translating technical information on glass-processing lines, as well as material deliveries. The service also includes Etteplan’s HyperDoc system, which serves as a content management system for technical data. With HyperDoc, technical content can be made use of in different manuals cost-effectively, and maintaining the data is easy.

-  Technical documentation is an important part of our business, and its quality has a direct impact on both our business efficiency and our customers’ service experience. Developing technical documentation to respond to the demands of the digital operating environment requires the kind of expertise, software and systems that we are not able to develop in-house. Etteplan’s solution meets our needs perfectly, says Glaston’s Heikki Kaasalainen, VP Production and Quality.

-  Glaston has been our co-operation partner for many years, and we are very pleased at the opportunity to develop the company’s digital documentation to respond to the needs of their global customer base. We are convinced that with our flexible service concept we will be able to bring quality benefits as well as cost-effectiveness to Glaston’s documentation process, says Veikko Lamminen, Etteplan’s SVP, Operations, Finland.
