Brussels, 4 October 2011 – EURid, the .eu top-level domain registry, is attending the Internet Hungary trade fair in Siófok, Hungary (11-12 October 2011) where Giovanni Seppia, EURid’s External Relations Manager, will outline .eu’s online security activities and recent marketing initiatives in a presentation on 12 October.

In Hungary, .eu registrations grew by 17% in the year to Q2 2011 and there are currently more than 41 000 .eu domain names registered to Hungarian businesses, organisations and individuals. The .eu extension is ideally suited for businesses with cross-border operations by enabling companies to express the fact that they are open for business in other European Union markets.

In addition to being one of the event sponsors, EURid has an exhibition stand in the venue lobby where staff will be available to answer questions about .eu.
