Everfuel: Update on hydrogen trailer fleet

Report this content

Herning, Denmark, 17 July 2023 – With reference to the announcements made 19 and 28 June 2023, Everfuel today provides a further status update on the hydrogen trailer fleet.

The original failure mode that caused the leakage in Heinenoord has been handled and all trailers are checked and procedures are in place to prevent it from happening again. The conclusion was a failure in tightening bolts on the production line of the valve supplier.

Following refilling of the first hydrogen trailers after repairs, Everfuel conducted routine inspections to ensure trailer integrity. During the inspections, a second malfunction on the same valve, affecting eight trailers has been detected. The root cause investigation of the second malfunction is ongoing together with the trailer and valve suppliers.

Two unaffected trailers will resume operations as soon as possible and service the Heinenoord station. Supplies of hydrogen to other refilling stations will remain impacted. Everfuel and the suppliers apologise for the inconvenience that the situation continue to cause for the end-customers. Everfuel will provide information on the incident as part of the second quarter report on 30 August 2023.
