Get up close with the F900 at Hotelympia 2016
First chance for hospitality industry to experience Falcon’s exciting new cooking appliance Series
Stand 3530, Hotelympia, London ExCel
29th February – 3rd March 2016
The Falcon stand, 3530, at Hotelympia 2016 marks the first opportunity for the industry to get up close with the brand new F900 Series.
The F900 is the first major launch from UK manufacturer Falcon in nearly twenty years and despite only just being released, it’s already creating a buzz in the UK industry. It is the first British-built series in this category of cooking appliances, which has been dominated by European manufacturers.
The F900 is acomprehensive range of 900mm deep professional cooking appliances, including chargrills, griddles, fryers, induction, pasta cookers, bratt pans, boil pans, boiling tops, rise and fall grill and oven ranges.
Amongst the Falcon team at Hotelympia 2016 is development chef Neil Roseweir, who will talk visitors through the many features and key design aspects of the F900 in detail. Neil is one of the best-known and respected development chefs in the commercial catering equipment industry. He played a key role in helping develop the F900 Series.
“I’m paid by Falcon to be a thorn in the side of our R&D Department,” says Neil.“A design team is not made up of chefs, so I’m there to speak in chef’s language, whether it’s ‘that handle’s not strong enough’, or ‘that gas-burner’s not hot enough’. And I never ease up on them.”
One of the most significant features of the F900 is its Dynamic Link System (DLS)*. It uses a specially developed system that tightly joins appliances together, providing the versatility of a modular system with the attractive looks and hygienic benefits of a one-piece top, at a much more competitive price. The Dynamic Link System is easy to setup, compared with typical linking systems, making the F900 faster and more cost effective to install, too.
“One of the real headturners of the F900 Series is the chrome griddle. It’s ideal for front of house cooking as it looks fantastic, doesn’t emit much heat, is easy to clean and cooks food perfectly,” says Neil. “Another key product is the gas fryer, with its integral filtration system enabling the oil to be cleaned, drained and filled back up again during service, even when it’s warm.”
Sustainability will be a hot topic for many visitors to Hotelympia 2016, and Falcon has gone to great lengths with the F900 to ensure it is as energy efficient as possible, and that running costs are minimised. Features like the fast induction hobs, powerful twin flame burners and metal to metal oven door seals are part of this, as is the ease of maintenance, with products being designing to be servicedquickly and easily. The F900 is also IPX5-rated for deep-cleaning.
Falcon will be sharing its stand at Hotelympia 2016 with sister company Williams, who will be displaying a variety of chilled and frozen storage equipment.
