On June 11th, 2019, Open-Innovators.org, the sustainability platform of Fedobe, had a fabulous launch in Stockholm. The event was attended by people with interest in sustainability and technology sustainable investments and futurists with a keen interest in preserving the planet. It was a memorable day, with invaluable inputs for the eCommerce (and tech companies in general) eager to contribute to Agenda 2030 but wondering how to get started.

Open-Innovators.org Seminar Series on "Circular Economy" and "Ecommerce & Future Cities"

Johan Lindström, Head of Innovation at H&M, was the first speaker, and introduced the Take Care concept to the audience. He was followed by Tony Lantz, Founder and CEO of LimeBlue Impact. Tony talked about bringing social entrepreneurs together with volunteers within the Tech Industry who want to contribute to Agenda 2030. Mark A. Conley, Assistant Professor at House of Innovation at the Stockholm School of Economics, closed the morning session with an engaging talk about mental models, consumer behaviour, and motivation to become an agent of change. The panelists, Caroline Von Post (Founder and CEO, StormiePoodle), Niclas Ihren (Founder and CEO, Matters Group), and Ali Ghoce (Founder and CEO, Gordon Delivery) started the discussion for the day, expertly guided by Rebecca Oliver as the Moderator. The conclusion – eCommerce has a vital role to play in supporting the SDGs. There are innovative ways of contributing, and Open-Innovators.org can become a platform where interested IT companies find ways to collaborate and contribute.

The afternoon session was just as engaging, with Niclas Ihren, Ali Ghoce, and Daniel Bridson (Mandaworks). Niclaspresented the birds eye view on the process necessary for becoming truly sustainable. Daniel, an Urban Designer, talkedabout the role of eCommerce in shaping Future Cities. Ali concluded the session with his presentation on the role of eCommerce in driving innovation within the last mile logistics. The Panelists, Caroline Von Post, Mark Conley, Maria Lindberg (Founder and CEO of Beep), and Marina Nart(Founder Beyondagenda2030) were invited into the discussion by Rebecca Oliver. The panelists emphasized the importance of aiming for generating a holistic impact rather than cherry picking specific SDGs alone. The Speakers presentations, panel discussions, and lively engagement from the audience created a positive and electric atmosphere.

Joydeep Dash, CEO of Fedobe, and the founder of Open-Innovators.org in Sweden, received a warm and encouraging recognition from Monika Kapil Mohta, the honorable Ambassador of India to Sweden and Latvia. The Ambassador highlighted the important role that Fedobe is playing in creating synergy between Sweden and India for promoting the SDGs. Open-Innovators.org, supported by Fedobe, is proud to be recognized as the facilitator of such a network of shared knowledge and commitment to achieving the Global Goals. The day ended with some lively music, food, and entertainment and the audience got the chance to further engage with the experts.
