Airport company Finavia will start using Finnish technology company Nanoksi Finland Oy’s coating solution at Helsinki Airport. Finavia will start piloting UVC technology to disinfect the security control trays after each use

Finavia will start disinfecting security control trays with UVC light technology that kills bacteria and viruses. 2019 was a busy year at Finavia’s airports even though growth in air traffic was more moderate than in previous years. The roof of the Helsinki Airport terminal is currently being fitted with new solar panels. They belong to Finavia’s solar plant whose first sector was opened just under two years ago. Next year, more panels will be installed on the facade of the parking complex which is to be opened.– 100% of Helsinki Airport’s energy is produced using renewable energy sources.
