From the beginning of summer season 2014, starting 31 March, Finnair Cargo serves the Vietnamese market with enhanced freighter capacity by adding a 3rd weekly frequency on Hanoi route. With this addition we now offer departures from Helsinki to Hanoi on Wednesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays, and return flights back to Europe on Thursdays, Fridays and Sundays.

On 2 June Finnair also starts the seasonal passenger flights, which will offer increased cargo capacity to/from Hanoi onboard Airbus A340 three times per week until 23 September. With these six weekly flights Finnair Cargo’s total cargo capacity from Europe to Vietnam is doubled from 155 tonnes to 315 tonnes, with 270 tonnes carried by MD11F freighter and 45 tonnes by A340.

According to IATA’s forecast, Vietnam is the fastest growing cargo market in the world for the next five years and being a leading European carrier to the Vietnamese capital is one of our focus areas.

"Finnair Cargo has been extremely pleased with promising development in Vietnam during the past 6 months, and is looking forward to growth on the trade lanes between Europe and Vietnam”, says Finnair Cargo’s managing director Juha Järvinen.
