First Camp Group, Scandinavia’s largest campsite chain, recently reported that it delivered record revenues in July. Also in August, the campsite chain broke records. The Group’s total revenues were SEK 170 million, a proforma increase (excluding effects from new acquisitions) by 7 percent vs August 2021, and by 27 percent vs 2019. The total revenue increase including effects from acquisitions was as much as 43 percent.

”We had a strong revenue increase in July, and an even strong increase in August in terms of percentage increase vs the latest normal year 2019. It is very satisfying with such strong results for the two most important months of the year. The entire market has had strong growth thanks to the return of international guests but also due to a higher interest in camping following the Covid-19 pandemic. Furthermore, our significant product investments, as well as other investments, have yielded good results,” says Johan Söör, CEO of First Camp, and continues:

”Along with driving organic growth, we continue to pursue our ambitious growth agenda through acquisitions. We have exciting plans in several countries going forward. Revenues at acquired destinations accelerate when they are integrated into firstcamp.se which is the largest booking channel in Scandinavia for camping and cabin stays.”

The highest percentage increase compared to August 2021 had First Camp Röstånga – Söderåsen (+91 percent), First Camp Moraparken – Dalarna (+78 percent) and First Camp Sunne – Fryksdalen (+59 percent).
