First Camp Group recruit heavyweight executive from Legoland

First Camp Group's subsidiary Jesperhus Feriepark, one of Denmark's leading holiday destinations for families, recruits Henrik Munksgaard as new CEO. Among other things, Henrik has been Park Operations Director for Legoland in Billund for nine years. 

Jesperhus was acquired by First Camp in December 2021 and is run as its own subsidiary under its own brand. Since the acquisition, Jesperhus has had a very strong development with maintained high guest satisfaction and strong financial results. 

At Jesperhus, world-class creative work is carried out where digital content and the physical guest experience are woven together. The destination's YouTube channel is the largest among families in Denmark and has so far over 200 million views.

Henrik Munksgaard comments: 

"For a number of years, I have followed Jesperhus with admiration and seen the fantastic development Jesperhus has gone through. A development where the characters from the digital universe are brought to life in the themed accommodation, the live shows, all the activities and have now become an integral part of the beautiful park and the local surroundings. At the same time with a staff that really knows how to deliver fantastic experiences to our many guests. Therefore, it is with great pleasure that I take on the task of being at the head of Jesperhus and continuing this development.” 

Henrik comes most recently from a role as COO in MCH, a group in Herning with arena operation, exhibition hall and conference facility. From 2014 to 2023, he was active as Park Operations Director at Legoland Billund and before that head of passenger services at Billund Airport. The current CEO of Jesperhus, Thomas Buch Tøstesen, has chosen to move on to a new role and the CEO change will take place at the turn of May/June.
