Flowbox update enriches Dynamic Product Ads on Facebook with UGC
Using real-life photos instead of standard product photos in prospecting or retargeting campaigns on Facebook and Instagram is now easier than ever. Swedish SaaS company Flowbox launches a new feature which lets brands use user generated content (UGC) in Facebook dynamic product ads.
The Swedish visual marketing platform Flowbox now releases a new feature which will make it possible to utilize user generated content (UGC) in Facebook dynamic product ads, for increased click-through rate and higher revenue. Flowbox was founded in 2016 and is a leading SaaS company, providing brands throughout Europe with a platform which makes it possible to collect and distribute user generated images and videos on their website and in other digital channels. Today, over 400 brands use the platform within industries ranging from fashion, sports and interior design to food, tourism and education.
Using the new feature, UGC DPA, users can automatically replace traditional white background product images in dynamic product ads with authentic photos created by their customers in a real-life environment. The functionality is integrated with Facebook, Instagram and Messenger as a first step. Other feed based channels could be added later.
The feature has already been tested by some select Flowbox clients including Dutch jewelry company Anna + Nina and Swedish fashion company KidsBrandStore. Anna + Nina saw a 66% return on ad spend following a one-month long UGC DPA campaign. KidsBrandStore measured an 18% increase in conversion rate and a 12% increase in the number of purchases.
“People today are tired of regular product ads in their feeds. Doing prospecting or retargeting campaigns with only product shots as creatives just won’t cut the noise. Just ask yourself, would you rather click on an ad containing user generated content where the product is put in a real-life context or on a branded product image with white background? Exactly!” says Mattias Österberg, Product Manager at Flowbox.
Getting the content to Facebook is easy. In just a few clicks, the user can generate and modify a feed filled with UGC and import it into Facebook Catalog Manager to launch new campaigns. The feature will be an add-on with different price plans available.
