Formica’s owners, Formica and Formica’s portfolio companies raises SEK 7 million in a donation to the UNHCR’s work in the Ukraine
In a joint effort, Formica has raised SEK 7 million for UNHCR’s efforts in the Ukraine.
The target to raise SEK 1 million from our portfolio companies and their employees has now been reached. Formica will match this sum with SEK 1 million and Formica’s owners will match five-fold with another 5 MSEK.
These donations to UNHCR will then be matched again by the Akelius Foundation, meaning that the funds raised by our portfolio companies and their employees will give a 1:14 ratio totaling SEK 14 million to UNHCR.
Our hearts go out to the people of the Ukraine whose lives literally have been shattered. We hope that this donation can help to give some aid and relief for the Ukrainian people in these difficult times.
Formica’s and Formica’s portfolio companies has no direct exposure to Russia and until the international community´s faith in Russia is completely restored, we will refrain from doing any business with Russia or with Russian companies.
