PRESS RELEASE 30 August 2012

Fortum's Loviisa nuclear power plant's unit 2 was restarted today, 30 August, at 04.09 local time after a turbine trip on Wednesday. Electrical annual outage maintenance on Loviisa unit 1 led to the trip on both unit 2 turbines at about 3.30 p.m. and the reactor unit was shut down thereafter. Reasons for the disturbance are being investigated.
