Simon-Erik Ollus appointed Executive Vice President, Generation and member of Fortum Executive Management

FORTUM CORPORATION STOCK EXCHANGE RELEASE 29 MARCH 2021 AT 20:01 EEST 

Simon-Erik Ollus, M.Soc.Sc. (Econ.), 42, has been appointed Executive Vice President of Fortum’s Generation division and member of Fortum’s Executive Management starting on 29 March 2021. He is succeeding Tiina Tuomela who is appointed the new CFO of Uniper and consequently has stepped down from her position at Fortum. In his new position, Mr Ollus will report to the President and CEO Markus Rauramo. 

Simon-Erik Ollus has been with Fortum since 2009 and held various roles in strategy and market intelligence and has most recently been responsible for Fortum’s trading and asset optimisation. Mr Ollus has been a member of the division’s management team since 2013.

 The Generation division is responsible for Fortum’s Nordic power generation in nuclear, hydro, and wind power plants. The division’s approximately 1,150 professionals are also responsible for power portfolio optimisation, trading, market intelligence, and global nuclear services. Generation’s operations do not include Uniper’s corresponding operations.
