The Main Event, LACA conference and exhibition, Hilton Birmingham Metropole, 9th-11th July 2014

At 2014’s LACA Main Event visitors will get to see the speed, versatility and cost-saving potential of FRIMA’s VarioCooking Center range.

FRIMA will be showing the latest addition to the range, the compact 112T, at LACA 2014. The smallest VarioCooking Center is designed to bring all the benefits of the FRIMA multifunction capabilities to kitchens where space is at a premium. It delivers fantastic flexibility in a small footprint, replacing conventional cooking equipment, such as kettles, tilting pans, bratt pans, fryers and griddles – and can fit on a countertop.

FRIMA’s new model may be small on the outside but it’s big on the inside. Despite measuring just 962mm wide by 800mm deep and 400mm high, it has two 14 litre pans, giving it the same capacity as its larger sibling, the VCC 112. The 112T can be used to cook items, such as burgers and chips or curry and rice, then be cleaned and turned around in just a few minutes ready to cook custard for desert.

For schools cooking in bulk or preparing food for clusters, the VarioCooking Center Multificiency 211+ fits the bill. At the push of a button, the 211+ is capable of bringing 60 litres of water to the boil in just 12 minutes, making it ideal for preparing large quantities of pasta and rice. FRIMA’s VarioBoost system heats the pan to 200°C in as little as 2.5 minutes and makes the unit up to 96% efficient at heat transfer.

The 211+ offers a completely reliable and accurate way to pressure cook, doing it faster and more consistently than most dedicated units and without any need for monitoring. It enables 45kg of stew to be cooked to perfection in an hour.

FRIMA’s VarioCooking Centers are ideal for school catering, where meal times are set and speed is of particular importance. The VarioCooking Centers are up to four times as fast, and save up to 40% in energy, compared to conventional appliances. Each unit monitors the whole cooking process, telling the operator when to stir or turn the food being cooked, allowing staff time to get on with other duties, while ensuring perfect results.

The VarioCooking Center has been designed so that the food no longer sticks or burns onto the cooking surfaces. Not only does this maximise yield and reduce wastage, but it makes cleaning quicker, easier and safer. The integral water hose enables users to quickly and easily dislodge cooked waste while reducing water consumption. The pan is then tilted so the dirty water drains down the internal drain – reducing the chance of spillages and potential hazards.

The list price for the VarioCooking Center Multificiency 112T is £9,170 exc. VAT. The list price for the VarioCooking Center 211+ is £17,840 exc. VAT.
