Advanced multifunctional cooking appliance for restaurants and kitchens with limited space

Stephens Catering Equipment will launch the new FRIMA VarioCooking Center Multificiency, the compact model 112T, at IFEX 2014. The first tabletop model of its type, the 112T brings the multifunction benefits of the VarioCooking Center technology to smaller kitchens in restaurants, gastro pubs and hotels. It allows chefs to boil, grill, fry, low temperature cook and deep fry, precisely and easily, all in one unit. It’s up to four times as fast, and saves up to 40% in energy, compared to conventional appliances.  

FRIMA’s new model may be small on the outside but it’s big on the inside. Despite measuring just 962mm wide by 800mm deep and 400mm high, it has two 14 litre pans, giving it the same capacity as its larger sibling, the VCC 112.

“It can be used anywhere,” says Graham Kille, managing director of FRIMA UK. “On a table, a work surface, a central cooking block, a production area... wherever it’s needed. It’s just as versatile as the established VarioCooking Center models, but needs a much smaller installation area.

“The 112T takes space-saving multifunctional cooking technology to a new level. It can replace kettles, tilting pans, bratt pans, fryers and griddles, saving 30% or more space in the kitchen.”

The 112T features several new intelligent cooking processes, specifically designed for restaurant operations. “They support the chef’s creative work and help achieve perfect cooking results,” says Graham. They include automatic processes for sous vide, confit and steaming. As with all the VarioCooking Center’s processes, they cook without the need for monitoring and with no chance of sticking or scorching.
