As part of a collaboration between Gapwaves and NXP, a jointly developed 5G-application will be exhibited by NXP at International Microwave Symposium in Boston in June. The application, featuring a 28GHz active antenna from Gapwaves, will be exhibited in conjunction with NXP’s 5G analog beamforming ICs. The 5G solution presented is a proof of concept, small cell, hotspot antenna application suitable for e.g. high-density and indoor areas.

By a way to develop high-performance 5G mm-Wave solutions, Gapwaves has collaborated with NXP, one of the world’s leading suppliers of semiconductors. As part of NXP’s showcasing of its silicon germanium mm-Wave chips for 5G, a small cell 5G-solution with Gapwaves 28GHz active antenna will be exhibited. The solution is a high-performance small cell, hotspot antenna application, suitable for e.g. high-density environments and indoor areas.

The antenna module will be exhibited by NXP at IMS. Gapwaves Chief Technology Officer, Thomas Emanuelsson, will represent Gapwaves at IMS.
