Following the release of an active 5G-antenna in August 2018, Gapwaves now presents a second release using Qorvo’s GaN-on-SiC technology. The second release of the active 28GHz antenna demonstrates high EIRP with low power consumption while maintaining good thermal handling, which is essential for the power amplifiers. Gapwaves presents active 5G-antenna with integrated chip-set

Gapwaves has finalized the first phase of development of an active 28GHz antenna with integrated chip-set and analog beam forming. The antenna shows very good performance with high gain and low losses confirming the measurements and simulations that was presented on Mobile World Congress in Barcelona in February 2018.
