Finnish pipeline gas market is open, and Gasgrid Finland Oy has begun operations

The Finnish gas market has opened up to competition and the wholesale of gas and transmission network has been unbundled from each other 1 of January 2020.

The new gas transmission network company, Gasgrid Finland Oy is responsible for gas transmission operations in Finland. The company has been unbundled from the energy company Gasum into a separate company.

The transmission network company, Gasgrid Finland Oy, is the Transmission System Operator (TSO) with system responsibility and offer gas transmission services.
